Essentially, there are three ways in which you could partner with what God is doing in Birmingham.
Church planting can be a lonely experience and it can certainly be an isolating one too. To have a church near a 2020 plant willing to partner can make all the difference to whether a new plant succeeds.
We welcome churches to partner with 2020 by adopting a church plant. That might simply mean commiting to pray but in many cases Birmingham-based partner churches may be able to offer support in other ways. For example a partner church may offer support by:
2020birmingham runs occasional fund-raising banquets at which individuals can enjoy a relaxing meal, hear something about the vision, meet a number of the planters and consider whether this might be an initiative they wish to support.

The dinner for Birmingham 2020 was an eye-opening event that highlighted how Christianity is being eroded in some of the largest cities across the globe. The event is well worth the time and price of admission for any Christian looking to learn about and support how church planting is winning back these cities. In the words of Al Barth, “As the cities go, so go the nations of the world. Jerry Happ, Vice President of a Global Investment bank
It was exciting to hear of the church planting initiatives happening in cities around the globe. I was struck by the great need to plant churches in our major cities and the opportunities they present for building God’s Kingdom on our doorstep. I particularly enjoyed chatting to those planting churches here in Birmingham and to learn about how we can support them both prayerfully and financially. It was so encouraging to see a real partnership in the gospel as those from different churches, denominations and organisations were united in taking the good news of Jesus Christ to every corner of this city. The meal in 2012 was a brilliant evening. It was a relaxed atmosphere and great food was on offer, with a host of speakers sharing their experiences between courses. It opened my eyes to ministries that were going on across the city and ways that Christ is working. If you want to speak to those working on the coal face setting up churches go along - you won’t be disappointed. Gordon Tyler, Regional Finance Director - Marriott Hotels
